However, with the emergence of dancesport in modern times, the term has become narrower in scope. --It usually refers to the 'International Standard' (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep) and 'International Latin' (Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive) style dances.
