Nexagate Secures Cybersecurity Role for Malaysia’s First Hydrogen-Powered Transit System

Alhamdulillah💜,

A truly special moment. We are proud to announce the signing of the LOA between Nexagate, Ocean Vantage Engineering, and Sarawak Metro, appointing Nexagate and OVE as the Independent Cybersecurity Assessor (ICA) for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project. This marks a major milestone as we embark on supporting the development of the region's first Hydrogen-powered Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system.

Earlier today, Sarawak Metro CEO, Ts Mazli Mustaffa, had the honor of presenting the official letter of award to the JV company, represented by our Deputy Managing Director and Chief Security & Strategy Officer, Khairul Naim bin Zainal Abidin, and Ocean Vantage Holdings Berhad’s Group Managing Director, Kenny Ronald Ngalin. Crying, laughter, and happiness were all around during our recent town hall.

Yesterday's town hall was a rollercoaster of emotions, with feelings ranging from melancholic feelings to pure joy.

Despite the late hour, the unwavering spirits of our Nexagators remained unbeaten. Every single person was brimming with energy, even though the clock was ticking late into the day.

This town hall felt particularly special for Nexagators, primarily because our early founding members became emotional as they reminisced about the early days of Nexagate. Witnessing this heartfelt moment deeply moved us, especially when our MD stressed the importance of prioritising family and health over work. He assured us that he would always support us in everything we do, leaving us feeling appreciated and seen.

Following the melancholic moments, the Nexagators' energy suddenly surged up, all excited particularly during the team-reveal slot of our upcoming team building activities. It was spectacular to witness the excitement and high spirits of our team members, all pumped up for the team building. Some were imitating eagle calls, others were growling like leopards, and even a team jokingly said that there was "no pressure" on their teammates, but they could only accept champion-level performance.

Not only that, yesterday's town hall also included the debut of our Nexus team. Our Nexus team includes specialist consultants, each representing their respective specialty within our three core pillars. The team's primary objective is to simplify the complexity of cybersecurity and make it more accessible for our customers to navigate the cybersecurity landscape.

The town hall wrapped up with releasing our new logo in conjunction of our 13th years of anniversary, and small celebration for Nexagate’s birthday! Thank you so much Nexagators!
