As the world’s largest halal trade show, the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is a Malaysian flagship with truly international reach. Across 14 industry segments, MIHAS demonstrates that the halal economy extends well beyond food and beverages to include healthcare, consumer goods, Islamic finance, and services. It is a platform for Malaysian enterprises to showcase their capabilities, develop export relationships and participate in international supply chains.

TAPiO Management Advisory was pleased to be invited to the opening ceremony of the Global Halal Summit, held in conjunction with MIHAS 2026 at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur. It was an opportunity to reconnect with longstanding contacts and meet representatives from government, trade and the diplomatic community, including: YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, who officiated the ceremony, YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Her Excellency Silke Riecken-Daerr, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malaysia, Dato’ Indera Abu Bakar Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Mohd Khalid Mohamed Latiff, Director-General of Unit Pantau MADANI, to name a few.

For us, these occasions are about strengthening the connections that support business cooperation: helping international companies understand what Malaysia offers and connecting Malaysian businesses with overseas opportunities. Congratulations to MITI, MATRADE and the MIHAS organising team, and to the exhibitors whose products, ideas and ambition bring this flagship event to life. A very enjoyable evening with the Finnish business community in Malaysia.

TAPiO Management Advisory was pleased to join the Business Happy Hour hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together Finnish companies, Malaysian partners and members of the wider business community.

These informal exchanges are often where useful conversations begin. It was good to hear about current developments, meet both established and newer members of the Finnish business community, and exchange views on where further opportunities for Finnish-Malaysian cooperation may emerge.

Malaysia continues to offer an attractive platform for European companies looking not only at the local market, but also at the wider ASEAN region.

A wonderful evening of music, hospitality, and good company in the Presidential Suite at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

TAPiO had the pleasure of hosting our guests for an intimate opera evening featuring prominent Malaysian operatic mezzo-soprano Ms YiLing Chaing, together with the talented singers she teaches and mentors, accompanied by beautiful violin and cello performances.

Combined with excellent food, engaging conversation and the exceptional setting of the Presidential Suite, it made for a truly memorable occasion.

Our sincere thanks to the entire team at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for the excellent collaboration and outstanding hospitality. Their professionalism, attention to detail and warm service played an important part in making the evening such a success.

And, of course, our thanks to all our guests for joining us and contributing to such an enjoyable evening. It was a pleasure for TAPiO to bring together wonderful people, music, hospitality and conversation for a very special evening in Kuala Lumpur.

At TAPiO Management Advisory, we were honoured to host a constructive discussion with representatives of the Terengganu State Government, led by YBhg. Dato’ Haji Rosli Bin Latif, Timbalan Setiausaha Kerajaan (Pembangunan), together with representatives from UPEN Terengganu, MBKT and Pertima Terengganu Sdn. Bhd.

The discussion focused on Terengganu’s long-term development direction and potential areas where structured international engagement can support the State’s economic agenda. Key themes included investment facilitation, infrastructure readiness, industrial development, aviation and logistics potential, strategic international partnerships, and the future positioning of selected state-linked economic platforms.

We appreciate the open and forward-looking exchange with the Terengganu delegation and look forward to supporting the next stage of assessment, coordination and proposal development in a manner that is aligned with the State’s priorities and formal decision-making process.

A warm evening at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur with H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, and spouse, together with YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry.

Good conversation, good company, and a thoughtful exchange over dinner with TAPiO Chairman Bernhard Schütte and Thomas Bernthaler.

A significant milestone for TAPiO Management Advisory with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with GEN, Grupo Empresarial do Norte, S.A., a prominent Mozambican corporate group focused on regional development, investment facilitation and strategic project cooperation.

The MoU was signed by General Daniel Frazão Chale, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GEN, a senior Mozambican defence and institutional leader, and witnessed by General Alberto Chipande, Chairman of the General Assembly of GEN, a historic figure of Mozambique’s liberation struggle and former Minister of Defence, together with members of the GEN board.

This MoU provides a framework for cooperation between Mozambique, Malaysia and ASEAN, with a focus on investment facilitation, institutional engagement, infrastructure, logistics, energy, natural resources, agribusiness and cross-border business development.

We are honoured by the trust placed in TAPiO and look forward to advancing practical, high-impact opportunities that support long-term economic development and cooperation between Mozambique and Asia.

A productive discussion and lunch with Maggie Yao, Managing Director, and Julian Chen Jia Hua of Yingke Consulting Sdn. Bhd. (Yingke Malaysia), kindly hosted by Bernhard Schütte, Chairman of TAPiO Management Advisory.

It was a pleasure to exchange views on Malaysia, China and cross-border business opportunities, including areas where market access, compliance, tax, legal and advisory capabilities can support companies operating across both markets.
