Kepala Pusat Registrasi dan Sertifikasi Halal Badan Penyelenggaraan Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH) Kementerian Agama (Kemenag), Siti Aminah mewanti-wanti agar pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) segera mendaftarkan sertifikasi Halal sebelum 17 Oktober 2024.

Lantaran, jika sampai tenggat waktu tersebut pelaku UMKM belum mengantongi sertifikasi Halal, maka akan dikenai sejumlah sanksi. Peringatan ini dikhususkan bagi pengusaha yang menjual tiga jenis produk. Adapun produk tersebut antara lain makanan dan minuman; jasa penyembelihan hewan dan hasil sembelihan; dan bahan baku, bahan tambahan pangan, dan bahan penolong untuk produk makanan dan minuman pun perlu daftar sertifikasi Halal.

Jika sebelum 17 Oktober 2024, pelaku UMKM belum kantongi sertifikat halal akan dikenai sejumlah sanksi. Hal ini terutama buat pengusaha yang jual tiga produk ini.

Mereka menilai aksi BCA membagikan lebih dari 1.000 sertifikat Halal kepada pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia sejalan dengan target Jokowi.

"BPJPH and SFDA reached an agreement to form a technical team representing both parties to intensively coordinate to narrow down the scope of Halal product guarantee cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia more specifically," BPJPH head Aqil Irham said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday.

He expressed the hope that the formation of the technical team would increase productivity in both countries through the Halal product sector.

The Supreme Court on Thursday granted interim protection to Mahmood Madani, president of the Mahmood faction of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, and other office-bearers of the Halal Trust from any coercive action over the Uttar Pradesh Government's ban on the manufacture, sale, storage and distribution of Halal-certified products in the state.

A bench of Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta also issued a notice on the plea filed by Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Halal Trust's plea challenging the Uttar Pradesh government's ban on Halal-certified products.
