Belanjawan 2027 baru-baru ini menegaskan bahawa syarikat mula niaga memerlukan laluan lengkap, daripada peringkat idea kepada modal awal dan seterusnya penskalaan.

𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲.

But these companies don't grow on their own. A factory adding new jobs, drones helping farmers, a car workshop network across 11 states: each one was backed early by a venture capital fund, before anyone knew it would work.

Venture capital accepts that some companies won't make it. The ones that do can bring benefits to many more people than the company itself: better jobs, new skills, steadier income for small businesses.

Howard brings two decades of investment and operating experience across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He was Chief Executive Officer of Sea Malaysia and Director, Investments at Ekuinas, and founded and led the early Malaysian operations of Lazada, Zalora and Foodpanda.

He began his first day with a town hall with the team, and his first weeks are set aside for listening to colleagues, fund managers and partners.

Women in Tech® Global is one of the world's largest movements for gender equality in STEAM: over 200,000 members, local chapters running from Tokyo to Nairobi, and the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron since its founding in 2018.

In 2025, the movement co-led the signing of the Osaka Protocol at the World Expo, an international commitment by governments and corporations to close the digital gender gap by 2030. Its work spans education, business innovation, digital inclusion, and high-level policy advocacy across six continents.

The movement's Asia-Pacific operation is run from Kuala Lumpur by Yuki Aizawa, a Japanese entrepreneur who has called Malaysia home for nearly 20 years.
