Most people don't quite understand about %LEL gas detection which is detecting gas cloud accumulation. In this video clip, it show a gas detector with catalytic sensor could not detect hydrogen gas flowing out from the valve regulator at 0.5 litre/min. Many people wonder why they heard the hissing sound and yet the gas detector registered "Zero" reading. It is simply because %LEL is for gas cloud accumulation.
