THE 10 BANGLADESHI AGENCIES CARTEL & SYNDICATE SAGA ... CONTINUES

The market has remained closed for Bangladesh nationals for about 10 months due to irregularities committed by a syndicate of 10 Bangladeshi recruiting agencies.

The Bangladeshi expatriate ministry has been working to open the market INSTEAD of taking action against the 10 errant recruiting agencies.

However, the matter was sent to the High Court (HC) that sought reply from the expatriate ministry on what action would be taken against those 10 agencies.

On June 26, the HC directed an inter-ministerial committee to submit a probe report on the exclusive control of the 10 recruiting agencies in labour recruitment from Bangladesh to Malaysia.

Bangladesh is hopeful that the Malaysian job market would open soon for those willing to work abroad. The market has remained closed for Bangladesh nationals for about 10 months due to irregularities committed by a syndicate of 10 Bangladeshi recruiting agencies.  Spources in the expatriates’…

BANGLADESHI WORKERS UPDATES

In another development, Kulasegaran said the ministry was in the final stages of discussions with Bangladeshi representatives before signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the entry of workers from the country.

“All previous agreements with Bangladesh have expired, although we intend to sign the MoU, there are some proposals and other matters to be resolved first.

“Among the issues that need to be resolved are the salaries and protection of foreign workers working here, and we also want to know what action will be taken (by the Bangladeshi Government) to repatriate the undocumented foreign workers (from Bangladesh) in the country,” he said. — Bernama

Replacement scheme for foreign workers to be reinstated on July 1

The government has agreed to reinstate the foreign workers' replacement scheme for all sectors effective July 1, says Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran.

He said the reinstatement of the scheme would allow employers to get replacements for foreign workers who had returned to their home country without having to go through a new application process.

"At the Cabinet meeting, the government approved the reinstatement of the system that was suspended (by the previous government) in 2017.

"It was an inconvenience to employers who were forced to go through the normal application process and incur further costs to get their replacement workers.

INDIANS "SELLING" INDIANS ... very very sad!
