Often we overlook the possibility that our current work environment isn’t a good fit. Here are 8 points in our checklist that may help you reflect and decide whether you should start looking elsewhere.

1. Find the Value!
Values are things U believe are nb in the way you live/work. Vs determine priorities, & deep down, measures & tells if life is turning out the way you want it to. ARE YOU HAPPY?

2.PPP – POINT (the) PASSION (and) PURPOSE
A passion/purpose can stimulate a deep & enduring interest. It may provide motivation & focus. Unsure what the passion is? Want to set & keep on track with the mission? Seek a coach with lived experience. Lots of empathy

3. Energy Patterns 💥
Pay attention to what excites & what drains you! Bored in five. Oh dear, drop it. Your intuition & energy guides as you scan the job spec. Are the tasks attracting, energising, or repelling you? Is the Job Description even making sense - Is it a tall order, unrealistic after 5 pages of responsibilities!

4. Need structure?
Maybe you need a job where there’s no grey area/ambiguity, no? of expectations. If a specific workflow, routine, & clearly defined tasks is your thing that’s fine. Does it still challenge?

5. Social 🐝 - love chit chat
Thrive in a social setting & love banter? Consider a relationship or people-based jobs where collaborating with others allows you to shine. You’ll excel & enjoy rewarding partnerships - unique moments with likeminded people.

6. Think Creative - Ideation?🎨
Easy for you to think up unique ways to solve problems. Explore jobs that seek original ideas, innovation or divergent thinking. It’s ok to be an intra in an organisation that embraces it.

7. Try it out - Discover more options?
We don’t know what we don’t know so we ought to try to know right!? Nothing gained, nothing lost! It’s ok to go down the rabbit hole provided you are not drowning in debt and have dependants of course!

8. Watch out for happenstance!
Keep your eyes open. Opportunities manifest in the most wonderful, mysterious, unexpected ways people!
