What is probate?

It is a legal process by which validity of a Will is proven. If Will is valid, applicant is issued grant of probate (GP). If Will is invalid / no Will, applicant is issued letter of administration (LA). GP process can be as fast as 3 months while LA process may be as long as 2 years.
