I am very sorry for not being able to accomodate a few clients due my full schedule until the 22nd of March. Yet I am very grateful for having clients who persistently seek my service and are willing to wait.

As a means to appreciate my clients, I am opening a booking system. This means that if you intend to submit your thesis next month, but you haven't finalised the writing, you can "reserve" me for a certain week in the following month. Of course, the booking fee will come with a re-imbursable cost if you really engage me for that week as planned.

Developmental edit in the process. Carefully extracting and rearranging the "jumping" sentences while maintaining author's voice.

A proofreading process that can ensure quality will normally take two passes. And the second pass does not immediately follow the first pass. We treat your thesis or article like roast chicken; the longer we "marinate" it the better it tastes. So the second pass is done 24 hours after the first pass, after we had a good night sleep and right after we performed the fajr prayer. Then and only then, can we catch errors that we missed.

Hence the time.

Say if you want your paper on the 25th of January, you should be submitting your article to me on the 22nd, at least, to give time for the above process. Not to say that urgent works cannot be done with quality. It just cannot be expected.

What should be a proofreader/copy editor's PRIMARY focus?

Eliminating and not introducing errors, or styling the text?

Just a question for thought. It seems more and more postgraduate students are hoping the proofreaders to be ghostwriters as well.

Put yourself in your examiner's shoes. You have a thick thesis to read and examine. But as you read it you need frequent breaks because of poor English, wrongly placed punctuations, and poor communication. Never overestimate a "tired" examiner and think you still can get a good grade for the good content. Don't take that risk. How you write matters greatly so contact me (0194229921).
