Clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter uses the transit time principal to measure the difference between transit times of an ultrasonic signals generated by a pair of transducers that are mounted directly onto the pipe. It is suitable for applications where non-intrusive measurement is required – ideal for large diameter pipeline, retrofit installations where pipe cutting and plant shutdown are not allowed.

We completed a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the main control panel, clarifier sub-panels and dosing panels of a water treatment plant (WTP) system, prior to shipment to the client’s site in Sarawak.

The master control panel (with PLC and HMI) functions as a centralised system for the WTP. The system is designed to acquire and monitor real-time data from key process, including influent raw water intake, chemical dosing, clarifier feed channels, ultrafiltration (UF) tank, chemical enhanced backwash (CEB) tank, chlorine reaction tank, and final treated water discharge to the distribution network. Acquired data is converted into trend graphs for easy visualization of performance of the system.

The clarifier sub-panels, installed at each train, provide localized control and monitoring of the sedimentation process, enabling efficient settling of suspended solids in the water. This process enhances sedimentation rates and improves solids removal efficiency.

Following the completion of FAT, we organised with our logistics partner to prepare for delivery. All panels and instruments were carefully packed with protective wrapping and secure mounting within custom-fabricated wooden crates. This precautionary step is to ensure that the panels and instruments are protected during long-distance transit and arrives on site in optimal condition for installation and commissioning.
