中总总会长拿督吴逸平今早出席“马新华商文化研讨会2026”，并为研讨会致开幕词。本次研讨会由马来亚大学文学与社会科学院历史系、新加坡国立大学中文系及新加坡中华总商会联合举办，汇聚来自马来西亚、新加坡及其他国家和地区的学者、研究人员与华商组织代表，共同探讨华商文化的历史传承、制度发展及当代转型。
拿督吴逸平指出，自19世纪以来，华商积极参与贸易、农业、制造业、金融及服务业等领域，为东南亚经济与社会发展作出重要贡献，并逐步形成以诚信、家庭纽带、人际关系、创业精神、韧性及互助合作为核心的华商文化。然而，随着全球化、区域经济一体化、数字化及科技创新不断改变商业环境，华商文化也必须在传承传统价值的同时，与时俱进。他强调，学术界与工商界应加强合作，通过历史研究、档案分享及企业经验交流，深化对华商文化演变的认识，并为年轻一代提供借鉴。
他表示，中总作为代表马来西亚华商的全国性组织，不仅肩负维护工商界利益的责任，也是传承华商历史与制度经验的重要平台。中总及其基本会员累积了丰富的商业经验与历史资料，其中部分商会更拥有超过百年的历史，值得进一步研究与保存。据了解，本届研讨会将有约20位学者发表研究成果。吴逸平期望，研讨会能延续2024年及2025年相关会议所建立的交流基础，进一步加强大学、研究机构与工商组织之间的合作，促进区域学术交流，让华商社群在珍惜历史传承的同时，积极拥抱创新，持续为东南亚未来发展作出贡献。
Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of ACCCIM delivered the opening remarks at the Conference on Malaysia-Singapore Chinese Business Culture 2026 this morning. Jointly organised by the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, the Department of Chinese Studies, National University of Singapore and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Conference brought together scholars, researchers and representatives of Chinese business organisations to explore the historical development, institutional foundations and contemporary transformation of Chinese business culture.
Datuk Ng highlighted the significant contributions of Chinese entrepreneurs to Southeast Asia's economic and social development since the 19th century, noting that values such as trust, family ties, relationships, entrepreneurship, resilience and mutual support have shaped Chinese business culture over generations. However, globalisation, regional economic integration, digitalisation and technological innovation are transforming the business environment, requiring Chinese business communities to balance the preservation of traditional values with adaptation to changing circumstances. He emphasised the importance of closer collaboration between academia and the business community through historical research, archival sharing and the exchange of business experiences to deepen understanding of this evolving heritage and inspire future generations.
He noted that ACCCIM serves not only as a national representative of Malaysia's Chinese business community but also as a custodian of valuable institutional knowledge and collective memory, with some Constituent Members boasting histories spanning more than a century. With approximately 20 scholars expected to present their research at the Conference, Datuk Ng expressed hope that the event would build on the exchanges established in 2024 and 2025, strengthen cooperation among universities, research institutions and business organisations, and foster greater regional engagement. He stressed that sustainable progress requires both continuity and adaptation, enabling future generations to build on the legacy of their predecessors while embracing innovation and contributing to Southeast Asia's continued development.
