We recently had the privilege of conducting a Hearing Conservation Programme (HCP) training for Lanouva Sofa Export.

The session focused on raising awareness of occupational noise exposure, the importance of protecting hearing, and practical measures to prevent noise-induced hearing loss. It was great to see the enthusiasm and participation from everyone involved.

Noise induced hearing loss does not arrive with a warning. It builds quietly over years, and a worker can pass a standard medical check while their hearing is already slipping away. 👂

The stakes are not only regulatory. Noise induced hearing loss is permanent, and it is compensable. Once a claim is filed you are dealing with worker compensation and a DOSH record at the same time, and neither can be undone after the fact. An NRA is the assessment that catches the risk early, while it can still be controlled.
