Pura Tanah Lot, one of Bali's most important sea temples. The tiny island was formed by the gradual erosion of the ocean tide over thousands of years. The temple of Tanah Lot is said to have been founded by the 16th-century priest Nirartha, one of the last priests to come to Bali from Java.

塔拿罗特的海神庙(TanahLot)是巴厘岛最重要的海边庙宇之一，始建于16世纪。该庙坐落在海边一块巨大的岩石上，每逢潮涨之时，岩石被海水包围，整座寺庙与陆地隔绝，孤零零地矗立在海水中；只在落潮时才与陆地相连。据当地人的说法，在16世纪时，东爪哇最后一个祭司，避居于此，因爱上这片海岸的美景天成，因此在巨岩上盖了一座印度婆罗门庙，也就是今日的海神庙。
