Jalan Susu

Jalan Susu A team of visual creators going on an epic journey in search of the stars and nature. and then we got hook, it was too beautiful. So we decided to keep doing it.

It started as a hobby project, where a group of friend decided to go out of the city to shoot for milky way. The first stop was Sekinchan,
the second stop was Cameron Highland, where we finally shoot some decent Milky Way photo but didn't record any footage of the trip. And then we planned properly to shoot at Fraser's Hill,
where we made a documentary "Searching Infinity"

Turns out people like

it a lot. Third Stop we went to Klebang Beach, Melaka,
where typically people will not expect to shoot milky way here
but we did. and we made the 2nd Episode of Searching Infinity : The Desert of a Billion Stars. and then even more people like it. So we decided to make it a trilogy. We then went to Raub for the 3rd Episode. But Raub was cloudy the 3 days we were there,
we did not shoot any milky way and fail to deliver the 3rd ep on time. and then we decide to go to Cape Rachado, Port Dickson on September, towards the end of Summer Milky Way. It turns out to be an even better 3rd Episode, compiled together with all our journey previously made,
we then founded Jalan Susu, turning our Whatsapp Group into a legit brand. We hope to discover more beauty in Malaysia, deliver higher quality content for people who love it, and spread the passion of photography and cinematography. In the future, we hope to work with brands to deliver even better kind of content, building loyal audience network, organizing trip, assist local travel industry, and give education. Welcome to Jalan Susu. To Infinity and Beyond!

Mersing is a small town you will stumble upon when you're travelling to Tioman Island.
Other than seafood and beaches, this place has more to offer.
When both the sun and moon has set, the Milky Way rises, and to observe the magnificent galaxy, require some adventure.

Jalan Susu does more than just shooting the milky way.

Pushing limits runs in our blood, every time we embark on a new journey, we constantly challenge ourselves and do something beyond what we've done from the previous trip. No doubt milky way will be the one constant element that we always goes back to, but exploring the unexplored plays a big part too!

This shot would be us attempting ring of fire under the dark starry sky. With zero experience, we manage to pull of some pretty good shots. I guess the god of luck is on our side that night

"You're a man looking at the world through a keyhole. You've spent your life trying to widen it. Your work saved the lives of thousands. What if I told you that reality is one of many?" - The Ancient One, from Dr Strange.

We are all about adventure, learning together, and yes of course, milky way. :)

Why would Malaysia be a great place for Milky Way hunting, you say?

A developing country = Less light pollution. A 20 minutes drive from Melaka Town, you can witness the Milky Way with your naked eyes.
Although it is not as obvious as the one you can see at Fraser's Hill, but it is not a problem locating it in the sky.

This is a single exposure of the Malaccan sky with the Milky Way in it, of course it comes with a flamboyant steel wool show as the foreground.

Here's a tip! With this website mentioned below, you can search for dark places near you, in which you can see the Milky Way with good probabilities on your side.

Shot in Cameron Highland in May.

This is the core, the brightest part of the Milky Way,
Visible by naked eyes at night during the entire summer time.

The dark area you are looking at is a dense cloud that blocked our view to see beyond it.
So technically we have no idea what is behind those cloud and
what is really happening in the core of our own home galaxy.
