Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch An integral part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, dedicated to the protection of human life, promotion of health and peace.

The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) (Malay: Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia) is a voluntary humanitarian organisation that seeks to promote humanitarian values, as well as provide service and public education in disaster management, and health and care in the community. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Today, the ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ (๐Œ๐‘๐‚) ๐Œ๐ข๐ซ๐ข ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ก ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž conducted a First Aid Training session for a group of TASKA educators in Miri.

First aid knowledge is especially important for those who work closely with ๐ข๐ง๐Ÿ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐  ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ง, as emergencies can happen unexpectedly. Having the confidence and skills to respond quickly and correctly can make an important difference while waiting for further medical assistance.

At MRC Miri Branch, we hope to reach and equip as many people as possible with essential lifesaving knowledge. Our Training Institute offers a *wide range of First Aid, CPR and AED training programmes* suitable for individuals, schools, workplaces, organisations and community groups.

On ๐Ÿ‘ ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Branch held its regular planning meeting with staff involved in the respective Sub-Committees to begin preparations for the ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ• ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ž๐ญ.

The meeting provided an opportunity for each team to review its programmes and activities, discuss priorities for the coming year, and ensure that proposed plans and budgets are aligned with the Branchโ€™s objectives and operational needs.

The respective Workplans and Budgets will subsequently be presented to the relevant *Sub-Committee Chairpersons for review and approval, before being submitted to the **Branch Committee* for further consideration and endorsement.

Through early and coordinated planning, MRC Miri Branch continues to strengthen its programmes and services to better serve the community in the year ahead.

The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Branch Training Institute successfully organised the ๐‚๐š๐๐ž๐ญ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ-๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐€๐ข๐ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, bringing together cadet teams from nine schools for three days of first aid challenges, teamwork, leadership and learning.

The competition featured four components:

It also allowed for a meaningful exchange of views and insights on healthcare delivery and the importance of accessible dialysis care for patients in need.

The inspection and licence renewal process is conducted periodically to ensure that dialysis centres continue to comply with the required regulatory, clinical, safety and operational standards.

As part of the ๐’๐Œ๐Š ๐‹๐ฎ๐š๐ค ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ-๐”๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, held from ๐Ÿ•โ€“๐Ÿ— ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Branch Training Institute was honoured to conduct a ๐‚๐๐‘ & ๐€๐„๐ƒ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  on ๐Ÿ– ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”.

A total of ๐Ÿ—๐ŸŽ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ from various uniformed units attended the session, where they learned essential lifesaving skills, including recognising cardiac arrest, performing high-quality CPR, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

The session aimed to equip young leaders with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to respond effectively during emergencies before professional medical help arrives. By empowering youth with these lifesaving skills, we hope to build a safer and more resilient community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to SMK Luak for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this meaningful leadership camp. We hope every participant will continue to apply and share the knowledge gained, because every second counts, and every trained responder has the potential to save a life.
