Completed refurbishment of the 22 years old Micro Hydro System at Kg Terian. This 5Kw system first installed and commissioned in 2004. Some of its components namely Bearings and seals has reached its end of life. We replaced those and upgraded the Intake and Forebay and repaired some damaged penstock pipe.

This system will be integrated with existing 5kwp Solar to upgrade the Community RE Mini Grid to 10Kw to cater for increased demand of the community. We also trained 5 Youths from the community to take over the operations and maintenance from their elders. This is CBRE in action..a life long commitment for sustainable Energy.

Upgrading works was funded by UNDP GRR as part of the Sabah Renewable Energy Rural Electrification Roadmap

Residents of Kampung Pitas Laut in Kinabatangan now enjoy 24-hour electricity following the completion of a community-run solar mini-grid, ending years of reliance on costly diesel generators and opening doors to new livelihood and conservation activities.

monitoring the progress of our Solar Hydro Hybrid off grid mini Grid project at Kg Pokolon Paus Ranau. we have completed the construction of the BIPV community multipurpose hall and the installation of 100 x 450w Bi-facial solar Panels.

Waiting for the delivery of the 50Kw 3Phase Inverter and HV 122Kwh BSS. This project is part of the Sabah Renewable Energy Rural Electrification Roadmap Initiative with Funding from Seacology, CMAD and EKOenergy ecolabel

From theory to practice, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of GPS use and coordinate marking as part of the CBRE Training of Trainers in Sabah. The session translated classroom concepts into field application, enabling participants to work directly with GPS devices to capture location data essential for renewable energy planning and feasibility assessments.

To further strengthen these skills, tools such as Google Earth and OziExplorer were introduced, allowing participants to visualize terrain, analyze spatial data, and connect field coordinates with broader geographic and environmental contexts. These platforms demonstrated how desktop and field-based tools can work together to support accurate site analysis and project planning.

Through guided exercises, participants practiced recording, interpreting, and validating spatial data, reinforcing how geospatial tools inform site identification, mapping, and evidence-based decision-making.
