The story of our company started in 1950s with a few brothers escaping poverty from China. After settling down in Penang, Malaysia, they started a humble trading business. Within a few decades, the business has grown tremendously, and the partnership has ventured into other fields including real estate, development and more importantly, the distribution of a few well-known herbal syrup and topical
cream. As the business grew, internal conflicts between the partners and their decendents became more apparent. A resturcturing in 1985 led to the formation of Weng Lean Seng Medical & Trading Co. Bhd., the name so chose because it represents Success through Unending Unity in Chinese. Over the next 30 years, Weng Lean Seng Medical & Trading Co. grew from a retail shop in Campbell Street in Penang to a wholesaling operations serving over 500 customers in Peninsular Malaysia. In 2013, the name of our company was changed to Herbal Care Trading Sdn. to more closely reflect our nature of business. Like any other business, our operations encountered ups and downs, internal strife, and other challenges. However, the management perservered throughout the years. In 2016, the management took over the operations as part of a resturcturing exercise.
