Dah bosan kan asyik ter-perangkap dengan janji manis konon dapat ubah kita jadi lebih sistematik and produktif tapi rupanya ada agenda lain. Yang ceritanya basic je tapi kalau nak lebih kena bayar lebih.

Sampai la jumpa Dr. Maria yang sangat passionate nak tolong kita yang selalu rasa:
• Masa selalu tak cukup sebab ada banyak benda nak buat.
• Selalu rushing kejar masa sampai makan pon sambil drive. Aiyo!
• Selalu kena ingatkan padahal kita pon kena ingatkan yang lain jugeeekk.
• Deadline ibarat dead bethol! Manjang lupaaaaaa.

Tapi semua ni settle sebab Dr Maria ada ‘senjata’ yang buatkan diri kita lagi disiplin and keluar dari norma tak best macam kat atas tu.

Memang kena invest tapi tak sampai rat-rat pon. Beli sekali tapi ilmu tu applicable seumur hidup.

I have an icebreaker card game. It has many interesting questions. One of the questions was ....

If you were to write a letter to your 5 year old self, what one advice would you give?

For me, I would tell my five-year-old self that the path to success is just to believe, confess and do it instead of "you must work hard study hard, life is difficult".

I will teach her a simple song like
" I am happy, I am healthy, I am clever , I am good, I am the best at all I do"

It is all about seeding positive mindset and can do attitude at a very young age, rather than waiting till you grow up to discover this concept.

I tested this on my little niece who was always sneezing and falling sick, looking "damp" 🙄even in the brightest day and having handwriting like a chicken scribble (cakar ayam) .😆

I taught her that song and guess what, I do see improvement! Every time she sees me she tells me she is the best. She is receptive to the "hows"😉 that I share with her on handwriting, maths, BM. I see significant improvement in her focus time span - it has increased!

On the other hand, for us professionals, amidst the hustle and bustle of our careers, it can be easy to lose sight of the simple joys and valuable lessons we learned in our younger years.

So guys, this question can be such a powerful exercise to reconnect with that pure, innocent, and curious version of ourselves - and potentially uncover timeless wisdom that can still guide us today.

Today i saw an article about retirement and that reminded me of my late dad. He was a headmaster and always had something to do and was very active when he was working.

But when he retired, his favorite activity was reading and yoga, which is very good, but he was cut off from social network and became very quiet and introverted.

How i wish, he had reinvented himself.
It's important for everyone to view retirement as a chance to reinvent oneself and engage in activities that are truly meaningful.

So what are some ways retirees can make the most of this new phase of life? Here are a few ideas:

📌Pursue a hobby that involves people
like neighbors or same interest group.

📌Volunteer in the community - nothing aggressive or monitory, it could even be like gotong royong, involvement in residents association (but don't stress out), volunteer in local nonprofits or community centers.

📌Travel - this need not be expensive or strenuous, it could even be like visiting places of interests locally.

📌Starting a Small Business - nowadays, with everything online, posting tik toks or you tubes on the knowledge and expertise you have gained over the years is fabulous. Exposing yourself in these medias too encourage you to keep yourself tip top all the time!

📌Embrace social gatherings -this is the most important of all, do not decline invitations for social gatherings, friends meet ups, little outing etc from your friends or family. Just say a yes and be out there with people.

Remember, retirement is not a transition phase, it's a new chapter and that could be a long and fulfilling one, but only if you do the right things. Do not waste it away on the couch and in your house alone!

Personal questions regarding marriage, children, or weight gain may seem harmless to some, but they can often hurt, irritate, or make others uncomfortable. In order to foster positive communication and maintain healthy relationships, it is essential to be mindful of the subjects we broach and the way we approach them.

When it comes to personal matters such as marriage and starting a family, it is essential to remember that everyone's journey is unique. Asking questions like "When are you getting married?" or "When are you having children?" can unintentionally put pressure on individuals who may already be dealing with their own insecurities or struggles in these areas. Instead of making assumptions or prying into someone's personal life, it is best to let them share such information at their own pace, if they choose to do so.

So, what can we do to ensure our interactions are respectful and considerate?

The Morning Routine That Will Set You Up for Success

As the old saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. How you start your day can have a major impact on your productivity, focus, and overall success. That's why developing an intentional morning routine is crucial for anyone looking to achieve their goals and reach new heights in their career.

After years of experimenting, here is the morning routine I've found to be most effective:

📌Wake up early.

I aim to be up by 6am every day, even on weekends. Getting an early start allows me to get a head start on the day and accomplish more before the distractions of the day begin.

📌Exercise

I start my day with 30-45 minutes of exercise, whether that's a brisk walk, a yoga session, or a strength training workout. Physical activity gets my blood flowing, boosts my mood, and gives me an energy and focus boost that lasts throughout the day.

📌Meditate.

Following my workout, I spend 10-15 minutes meditating. This helps me clear my mind, reduce stress and anxiety, and get centered before diving into work. I find that regular meditation makes me more productive, creative, and resilient.

📌Review my goals.

I then take some time to review my long-term goals and the key priorities for the day. This helps me stay aligned with my bigger vision and ensure I'm spending my time on what truly matters most.

📌 Eat a healthy breakfast.

Nourishing my body with a nutritious breakfast, like oatmeal with berries or a veggie omelette, gives me the steady energy I need to power through the morning.

📌Start deep work.

With my body and mind energized, I use the first 2-3 hours of my workday to tackle my most important or challenging tasks when I'm at my sharpest. I find I'm able to produce my best, most focused work during this time.

If you're looking to take your performance to the next level, I highly encourage you to experiment with your own morning routine. Start small, find what works best for you, and watch as it transforms both your workday and your life.
