Starting 2026, the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is rolling out major initiatives to help businesses save costs + stay compliant more easily 💼
👀 Here’s the FIRST key highlight:
Late document submission? 👉 You may get reduced penalties or even full waiver!
Under this initiative, companies can receive direct advisory support from SSM officers and take corrective action on overdue statutory documents, including:
👉 Annual Returns (AR)
👉 Financial Statements (FS)
👉 Beneficial Ownership (BO) information
📅 Campaign Period:
16 April 2026 – 30 September 2026
📌 Special Facilitation:
👉 3 months to submit overdue Annual Returns & BO information
👉 6 months to submit overdue Financial Statements
👉 3 months to apply for striking off inactive companies

✅ Exemption from prosecution within a specified period
