I’ve been seeing more and more requests to incorporate AI into soft skills programmes—and today was spent refreshing my upcoming course materials to do just that.

It’s exciting to help participants build confidence in using AI as a practical support tool in their daily work. At the same time, one thing remains clear: AI can generate ideas, but it’s our critical thinking that ensures those ideas are relevant, accurate, and truly useful. When used thoughtfully, it becomes a powerful partner—not a replacement—for good judgement.

A throwback to February this year when I ran a 2-day Conflict Resolution programme for a team in the oil & gas industry. It was a truly rewarding experience. Held during Ramadan, I was genuinely impressed by the participants’ energy, openness, and willingness to engage deeply throughout the sessions.

We explored the realities of constructive vs. destructive conflict, worked through practical conflict mapping, and applied key elements of persuasion to real workplace scenarios. What stood out most was how quickly the group translated concepts into meaningful conversations and actionable approaches. Moments like these are a great reminder that when the right tools meet real-world challenges, transformation doesn’t take long to happen.

Last week, I ran a webinar for more than 150 young adults in Communicate with Confidence, which was hosted by Malaysian Institute of Accountants. This is my second year working with MIA in their CSR program and I am so encouraged by the impact I can make with young talents. I enjoyed the Q&A session too.
