WCT’s Engineering & Construction Division played a key role in the delivery of the LRT Shah Alam Line through its involvement in the GS02 and GS03 work packages.

Across approximately 5.7 km of the alignment, WCT delivered three stations, five long-span structures and supporting infrastructure including park-and-ride facilities, ancillary buildings, pedestrian walkways and associated works.

The scope involved complex construction across existing rail lines, high voltage power transmission lines and major highways, requiring careful planning and coordination to execute the works safely while maintaining live traffic and public operations.

The successful delivery of these works reflects WCT’s engineering capabilities in complex infrastructure projects and its continued contribution to strengthening connectivity and urban mobility across the Klang Valley.

For the participants of WCTGives “Threads of Hope”, the journey began with a simple but meaningful opportunity – to learn, create and discover what they were capable of achieving.

Earlier this year, WCT introduced WCTGives “Threads of Hope”, a community initiative created in collaboration with Grace Community Services and Hazel & Nutz, to support participants from B40 and vulnerable low-income communities through practical sewing skills and hands-on learning.

Across 11 lessons over 11 weeks, the participants learned sewing techniques step by step, from basic stitching and fabric cutting to creating practical handmade pieces, wearable garments and upcycled items.

With each lesson, they gained more than technical skills. They built confidence, took on new challenges and began to see the value of what they could create with their own hands.

WCT is proud to have been part of this meaningful journey – one that celebrates learning, confidence and new possibilities.

Small steps towards a healthier tomorrow. 🌿

The WCT Health & Wellness Fair 2026, held on 19 August at Le Méridien Petaling Jaya and 27 August at Paradigm Mall Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, gave approximately 200 employees the opportunity to check in on their health, gain valuable wellness insights and discover healthier choices from participating partners.

From health screenings, vaccinations and health talks to engaging wellness activities and Zumba sessions, the initiative encouraged employees to take a closer look at their health and make well-being a priority.

Through WCTGives “Brightening Lives” 2.0, WCT contributed approximately RM34,000 to enhance Buku Jalanan Chow Kit’s (“BJCK”) learning centre. The works included improvements to the entrance and common areas, staircases, storeroom and lighting facilities, complemented by two vibrant murals that bring colour and character to the space.

Together, these improvements have created a safer, brighter and more welcoming environment for the children, educators and visitors who use the centre every day.

More than enhancing a physical space, Brightening Lives 2.0 is about supporting a place where children can feel encouraged to learn, grow in confidence and discover their potential.

Because sometimes, brightening a space can also brighten the experiences of those who walk through it every day. ✨
