In the spirit of Hari Raya Aidiladha, WCT joined hands with Surau Al Mukmin, Mutiara Gombak to give back through a meaningful korban programme. Held as part of WCT’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts under WCTGives and guided by its pillar, the initiative reflected our commitment to caring for communities and supporting those in need.

Meat from the korban ritual was distributed to approximately 200 asnaf and B40 beneficiaries in the surrounding community as a gesture of care, with the hope of bringing joy and relief to those in need during the festive season.

From carrying out the korban ritual to the communal cooking session involving Surau Al-Mukmin and members of the local community, the programme served as a meaningful reminder that even the simplest acts of giving can strengthen bonds, foster togetherness, and uplift those around us.

WCT marks its first infrastructure contract win in Taiwan!

WCT Berhad Taiwan Branch has secured a TWD1.22 billion contract (approximately RM152.68 million), from WU En De Construction Co. Ltd. for the National Highway No. 1 – Addition of Gangshan Second Interchange Project (Lot I108R).

The project covers construction works between the Gaoke and Gangshan Interchanges, including road works, bridge structural works, and drainage works.

This milestone marks WCT’s entry into Taiwan’s infrastructure market and reinforces the Group’s commitment to delivering quality engineering and infrastructure solutions across the region.

WCT is proud to launch WCTGives “Threads of Hope”, a structured community empowerment programme, aimed at equipping women with practical, income-generating skills.

Launched on 18 May 2026 in collaboration with Grace Community Services (GCS) and Hazel & Nutz, the 11-week programme comprises 11 sewing lessons designed to support 20 women from B40 and vulnerable low-income communities in building their skills, confidence, and financial resilience.

As part of the initiative, WCT has sponsored 10 sewing machines, along with essential sewing tools and materials, to ensure participants are fully equipped throughout the programme. The sewing machines will remain at the GCS community centre to support continued skills development and future training initiatives beyond the programme duration.

More than just learning a new skill, WCTGives “Threads of Hope” seeks to empower participants with confidence, independence, and the opportunity to stitch together a more secure and hopeful future for themselves and their families.
