MIHRM Industrial Court Field Visit: Bridging Classroom Learning and Real-World Practice
On 11 June 2026, the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) organised a highly successful field visit to the Industrial Court of Malaysia at Wisma PERKESO, Kuala Lumpur. Led by former Industrial Court Judge, YA Peter Iruthayaraj, and coordinated by the Registrar of the Industrial Court, Pn. Nur Hamizah Binti Amiar Rodin.
The MIHRM delegation was headed by President Mr. Simon Benjamin, alongside Council Members Dr. Chan Wang Tak and Mr. John Yong.
The visit provided CHRM students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the practical application of Industrial Relations (IR) principles and employment law in Malaysia.
Through observing actual court proceedings and receiving briefings on court processes and case management, participants developed a deeper understanding of how workplace disputes are addressed, adjudicated, and resolved within the Malaysian industrial relations framework. The experience enabled students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial relations practices.
MIHRM remains committed to providing industry-relevant learning experiences that enhance the professional development of Certified HR students, preparing them to become competent HR practitioners capable of effectively navigating workplace relations and employment challenges.
