The Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) was proud to participate in the Learning & Development Conference 2026: Human Learning in the Age of Machines – Developing Talent for Tomorrow’s Jobs, jointly organised with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
The conference served as an exceptional platform for HR professionals, industry leaders, academia, and policymakers to exchange ideas on the future of learning, leadership, innovation, and human capital development.
We were honoured to hear from an outstanding panel of speakers, including:
* YB Jordan Jude Ellron – Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Sabah, Tulid & Pembantu Menteri Pendidikan, Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi Sabah
* Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Sabin Samitah, JP – Mayor of Kota Kinabalu
* Mr. Simon Thevaraj Benjamin – President, Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM)
One of the conference highlights was the keynote by Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Sabin Samitah, JP, “The Power of Mistakes: Developing Resilience and Adaptive Leadership,” which provided valuable insights into cultivating resilient leaders and organisations in an ever-changing world.
Another memorable highlight was the opportunity for the MIHRM delegation to meet with Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Sabin Samitah, JP, Mayor of Kota Kinabalu, and Mr. Jimon Jahim, Executive Director of DBKK Holdings Sdn. Bhd. The engagement opened meaningful conversations on strengthening partnerships and advancing talent development initiatives in Sabah.
MIHRM extends its sincere appreciation to Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), all distinguished speakers, strategic partners, sponsors, and participants for making this conference a resounding success. Together, we continue to build stronger collaborations that will shape the future of learning, leadership, and human capital development in Malaysia.
We look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate in developing future-ready talent and creating lasting impact for our profession and our nation.
