In February 2026, DIALOG, through its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) collaboration with the Department of Marine Fisheries Sarawak, extended support to 80 fishermen in the Miri fishing community by donating emergency devices, including Personal Locator Beacons (PLB) and GPS navigation units to enhance the safety of fishermen at sea.
The donation presentation ceremony was held today in the presence of Minister of Transport Sarawak, YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Department of Marine Fisheries Sarawak Director, Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab, and Executive Director of DIALOG Group HSE and Director of DIALOG Services (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Pau Kiew Huai. Also in attendance were Deputy Minister for Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, YB Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew and Representative of Mayor of Miri, Cr. Rahim bin Hj. Unsang.
At DIALOG, Health, Safety and Environment remain fundamental priorities across our operations. We also recognise that sustainable success is underpinned by our continued support for the communities in which we operate in. Thus, DIALOG aims to promote and safeguard the safety of fishermen at sea through this CSR initiative and providing them PLBs and GPS devices to enable them to navigate safely in their daily activities.
