Our carton arch has taught us one thing:

Sustainability can be… surprisingly dramatic. 😂

30 discarded Watsons cartons.
3 rebuilds.
A few moments of panic.
And one very determined team.

Was the arch perfect? Definitely not.

But we believe trying to give discarded materials a second life is worth the trouble — even when the result is a little slanted and a little sad. 😆

What matters is that we keep learning, improving and trying again.

And we’re grateful that the mall is willing to experiment with us and make sustainability part of a real public event.

Maybe the future isn’t about making everything perfect.

Maybe it’s about being willing to try differently. Thanks to Sunway Big Box and 好好森活 Jom For.Rest for letting us try.

我们的纸箱拱门告诉我们一件事：

可持续，有时候真的很戏剧化。😂

30个被丢弃的 Watsons 纸箱，
3次重新搭建，
几次小小的崩溃，
还有一群不轻易放弃的我们。

拱门完美吗？
当然不完美。

甚至还有一点歪、一点“伤心”。😆

但我们相信，
让废弃材料重新被使用，
这件事本身就值得尝试。

做不好，就学习。
倒了，就再搭。
下次，再做得更好。

我们也很感谢活动场地愿意和我们一起实验——
让可持续不只是漂亮的概念，
而是真正走进日常、走进公共空间。

也许可持续的未来，
并不是每一样东西都必须完美。

而是我们愿意
不断尝试不同的方式。

It can be a place to discover people.

Just not long ago, brown was not a choice for fashion or even cars on the road, our tendencies changes over time. Now you might find natural colors can touch your soul even more, or not! It’s subjective, really.

In 2019, a wild thought led us had the idea to want to turn this old technic used by local fishermen to a form of art, with no books to read on, we experiment along the way, after many years, we finally came to the color effects we feel comfortable with. Many asked why we do not do other colors, that is because we want to be the voice of mangrove forest, while we still have half.

不久之前，褐色的衣服很少会被选择穿在身上，在马路上也没看过褐色的汽车。人的倾向随着时间推移，现在可能你会发现，自然的颜色反而特别能感动人心，可能不会！这是很个人的没有对错。

2019年一个天马行空的想法，把这古早笨珍渔夫的红树皮染色技术，没有书刊参考，默默研究玩了好几年，现在做到的颜色是我们自己挺满意的。很多人问为什么不做别的颜色，那时因为当我们的红树林还剩一半，我们要为她说说话 😉

HEALING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HER

This Mid-Autumn Festival, we invite you to experience a different kind of celebration—one rooted in connection, gratitude, and nature. Presented in collaboration with 谢华华小 SJKC Cheah Fah and Sunway Big Box, this art installation honors the quiet strength of our coastal guardians: the mangroves.

Standing between land and sea, the mangrove protects our shores and nurtures life with unconditional love. She quietly shields our communities from tides and storms, yet her presence is often taken for granted. Through organic textures, stilt roots, and warm earthy tones, this installation invites us to pause, reflect, and rediscover our deep-rooted bond with Her.

Healing begins when we remember that we belong together. We invite you to join our “One Ribbon, One Promise to Protect Her” interactive area—tie a ribbon to the artwork as your personal pledge to cherish, protect, and love the mangroves back.

It begins with a single indigo leaf.

Join us in Chiang Dao as we learn directly from the artisans at Chiangdao Blue and experience the complete traditional indigo-making process—from harvesting fresh indigo leaves to producing natural indigo paste.
