An interview is selling yourself.

Here is a very important formula for everyone:

Value = Results โˆ’ Expectations

Many people walk into interview and talk about how good they are, but is it what is expected by the interviewer?

If what you're saying doesn't match what the interviewer is looking for, the value is not there.

The expectation is what the other person want and what they're hiring for.

If your results exceed that expectation, that's your value.

If your results don't address that expectation at all, it doesn't matter how cool you sound.

Before you go into an interview, make sure to check:

๐Ÿ‘‰ What problem are they trying to solve?
๐Ÿ‘‰ And how does my experience add value to that?

Then build your answers around that.

Most people need proof first to believe. Show me the results and show me it works, then I will get on board. That is a very human response and there is nothing wrong with it. Seeing is believing, and sometimes people need that before they can commit.

But great talent operates differently. A visionary talent believes first before the proof exists.
