Every Monday, New Way clears up one myth about shading. No fluff, just the real answer. First one: motorised shading is only for luxury homes.

A lot of people believe you need a big budget just to even get started. That's not true. New Way carries entry-level options built for exactly this, like Aqara Roller Shades, made to be affordable, not just the premium ones you see in the big showpiece homes.

Here's why that actually matters. If you've been putting this off thinking it's out of your reach, you could be skipping something that genuinely makes everyday life easier, shades that open on their own in the morning, not having to remember to close them before you leave for work, one less thing to think about every single day. That kind of convenience was never meant to be locked behind a big price tag, it's just that most people never hear about the entry-level side of it.

Come back next Monday, we've got another one lined up, and honestly, this one might surprise you even more. Message us if you want to know what actually fits your budget: https://wa.me/60132635022

You do not spend thousands on a Fixscreen and then trust it to a bargain motor. It runs into the thousands.

Ours is the Somfy Maestria 50, the motor Renson pairs with every Fixscreen, from Somfy, a French brand. Every one comes with a 5-year warranty.

It is worth getting right for two reasons. Once the screen is installed, the motor is sealed inside the head box, so this is not something you can just swap out later. And it lives outside, exposed to the same wind and rain the screen itself is built to handle. It carries an IP44 rating, sealed against dust and water, exactly the kind of detail that separates a motor built for this job from one that just happens to fit.

You are not just buying a screen. You are buying the motor that has to run it for years. Get the motor decision right the first time. Message us on WhatsApp:https://wa.me/60132635022

Someone on site opens the box. No scratches. No dents. That is not an accident.

This blind got loaded onto a truck, bounced around for hours, and unloaded twice before it reached this room. A plastic-wrapped one would show it by now, a scratch here, a dent there, the small marks that add up over a real journey. This one doesn't, because it never left the factory in plastic. It left in a carton box, built for the trip.

So when it goes up on the wall, it looks the way it did the day it was made. Nothing to explain, nothing to hide. It is a small detail, but it is a real difference. Message us if you want to see how we actually do things: https://wa.me/60132635022

Your friend's new condo has a Fixscreen Zip Blinds already built in. Yours doesn't. Are you out of luck?

No. There's a mount made just for older balconies, one that goes on after everything's already built, not something only available while a building is under construction. It's a real, standard option.

If you live in a condo, it's worth checking with your building first. Some buildings want to approve anything added to the outside before it goes up, especially if you'd be the first unit doing it. We can help put together what they usually ask for, so it's one less thing on your plate.

So your balcony ends up with the same shade, same rain cover, as a newer place, it just happens a bit later. That means the space you've probably been avoiding, too hot to sit on by mid-afternoon, soaked the second it rains, mosquitoes taking over the moment the sun goes down, actually becomes usable again. It's not too late just because the building is already finished.

Did you know one Lutron drapery track can span five and a half metres, with zero joins?

That is eighteen feet on the flagship Sivoia QS line, one single piece, which covers most walls of glass without joining two tracks together.

Need it wider still? Joining two pieces takes the same track to thirty feet. Need it in one piece no matter what the width? Wireless Drapery Lite caps at sixteen feet, always one piece by design, no joining option at all.

It is one number most dealers do not think to check until they are standing in front of the job that needs it. For more details, check out our article!

Someone asks if they need a Fixscreen Zip Blinds or just an awning. Wrong question. It depends what you are actually trying to fix.

If the problem is just glare at 2pm and nothing else, an awning does the job, it is simple, and it costs less. There is no reason to pay for more than that.

But if rain still gets in sideways, mosquitoes show up at dusk, or you actually want the space closed off rather than just shaded, that is a different problem entirely, and that is exactly what a Fixscreen Zip Blinds is built for. Rain gets blocked at the fabric itself, up to 99% of it at the tighter fabric setting, and the space genuinely feels enclosed instead of just shaded overhead.

It really is not about which one is better. It is about whether you want shade, or you want the space back. Message us and we will help you figure out which one you actually need: https://wa.me/60132635022

You already know this effect. You just never thought about your balcony.

Think of tinted car windows. From outside, you can't see the driver at all. From inside, they see everything, clearly, like the tint isn't even there.

A Fixscreen Zip Blinds works on the same principle. During the day, your side is shaded and the outside is bright, so from inside, the view out stays clear. From outside looking in, the mesh just reads as a solid surface. That effect is strongest in daylight, and softens a little at night once the lights are on inside, same as how a lit room at night can be seen through a window more easily than a dark one.

Openness options run 1%, 3%, 5%, or 10%. Lower numbers block more heat and more view-through both ways. Higher numbers keep more of the outside visible from inside.

Message us and we'll help you match the right opening percentage to your actual balcony:
