Bridging Generations ✨
Today’s session with 30 senior citizens reminded me how beautifully different and beautifully similar our generations really are.
We explored how connection has shifted over the years… from handwritten letters to fast texts, from patient conversations to multitasking, from following authority to asking thoughtful questions.
We also unpacked what “experience” really means. Many say “I have decades of experience,” but today we reflected on how experience does not always become wisdom. Some experiences guide us, and some we need to unlearn. The non digital past and the digital present each bring something meaningful to the table.
Through stories and honest sharing, seniors offered roots, humour and lived perspective. Younger views added openness, ideas and emotional language. Somewhere in the middle, we realised that meeting halfway is not a compromise, it is a bridge.
The movement activity brought the room together with presence and gentle expression, closing the session on a warm, uplifting note.
The overall program was conducted by both our facilitators Dr Prashun and Ms Aishee.
In that moment, age did not matter. What mattered was curiosity, connection and the willingness to understand one another.
Connection is ageless.
