🚨 Want to advertise with street buntings? Don't skip these 2 legal steps! 🚨
Street buntings are amazing for bringing local customers to your shop or event. But if you hang them without permission, the town council will take them down within 24 hours! ❌
To keep your campaign legal, safe, and stress-free, your design must go through these two approvals before printing:
1️⃣ Step 1: Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP)
Before anything else, your artwork must be submitted to DBP online for language approval.
The Rule: You must use proper Bahasa Melayu.
The Look: The BM text must be larger and more prominent than any other language on the banner.
2️⃣ Step 2: Local Council Permit (MBS,DBKL, MBPJ, MPK, etc.)
Once DBP approves your language, you submit the artwork to your local town council (PBT) to get your advertising license.
You will pay a permit fee and a refundable deposit.
Every single bunting will get an official council sticker to prove it is legal.
💡 Quick Tips:
Plan ahead: The legal process takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Don't print last minute!
Keep a blank space: Leave 2-3 inches of empty space at the bottom of your design for the council sticker.
