We are proud to celebrate the official launch of our 3.338 MW Small Hydropower Plant at Sungai Suih, Jeli, Kelantanโ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ขโ๐ฌ ๐
๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ.
The ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Amran Hafiz Affifudin, Managing Director of UEM Group Berhad; YBhg. Datoโ Hamzah Hussin, Chief Executive Officer of SEDA Malaysia; YBrs. En. Harman Faiz Habib Muhamad, Chairman of Cenergi SEA Berhad; and Ir. Kwok Yew Hoe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad, together with the Board of Directors of Cenergi SEA Berhad. We were also honoured by the presence of TPr. Haji Hassan Yaakob, General Manager of Kelantan Utilities Mubaarakan Holdings Sdn. Bhd.
The project achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 1 February 2026 and is owned and operated by Alaf Budi Sdn. Bhd., the first Feed-in Approval Holder (Pemegang Kelulusan Galakan, PKG) to achieve commercial operation under Malaysiaโs new Feed-in Tariff (FiT) 2.0 mechanism, featuring a two-tier tariff structure.
Using a run-of-river design, the plant is expected to generate approximately 22,182 MWh of clean electricity annuallyโenough to power around 3,400 homesโwhile reducing an estimated 16,414 tonnes of COโ emissions each year, equivalent to taking approximately 3,800 passenger vehicles off the road.
Beyond generating clean energy, the project also creates employment opportunities, supports local businesses, and contributes to the socio-economic development of the surrounding communities.
