A learning trip across the Causeway.

Team Hargrave hopped on a bus to Singapore for a visit to the Grundfos manufacturing facility, where we saw CR pumps and booster systems being assembled and tested.

We also spent time at the Grundfos iSolutions Lab, getting hands on with digital pumping solutions and some technical training.

For many of our team members, this was their first visit to a Grundfos manufacturing facility and a good opportunity to see what goes on behind the products we work with every day.

Thank you Joanna and Yap for hosting us, and Grundfos Regional Managing Director Eric Lai for dropping in.

And of course, while in Singapore, we took the opportunity to visit some of the sights, enjoy the local food and conduct the very important comparison against Malaysian food.

A good trip for learning, team bonding and a few friendly debates over which side of the Causeway serves it better.

A couple of 4” self-priming pumps, mounted on a common baseplate and driven by 22kW motors, ready for shipment to Africa for an irrigation project.

Self-priming pumps are easy to use as they can remove air and start pumping on their own. This makes them ideal when the pump is installed above the water source or when air enters the system.

They reduce the risk of dry running and do not require a foot valve, making installation simpler. Even with more efficient submersible pump options available, this proven design is still widely used for its reliability and practicality.

Vertical Sump Pump Overhaul in Progress

Our pump service workshop is carrying out a complete overhaul of a 10-feet tall vertical Vanton SG sump pump used to pump waste corrosive chemicals.

Wetted parts are built entirely from engineered thermoplastics, this unit has been in continuous operation for over a decade. In this sump, highly corrosive acids and alkalines are pumped. Where metallic pumps will corrode under these conditions, these SG pumps thrive.

Our team is carefully checking tolerances and clearances before reassembly. With thermoplastics, precision in fit and alignment is critical.

Over 10 years in service. Now rebuilt to go again.

Urgent on-site slurry pump repair completed. We replaced the bearings, seal, and seal gland, and had the pump back in service within a few days. Fast turnaround, minimal downtime.
