Our director, Mr. Kelvin Chan, visited INTI International College Penang once again today to share his hands-on industry experience with students and lecturers, focusing on the vital role of acid–base reactions in industrial chemical processing and waste recovery.

During the session, he illustrated real-world applications through practical examples, including:
• The reaction of sulphuric acid with aluminium hydroxide to produce alum
• The reaction between copper chloride and caustic soda in metal recovery processes
• The use of mixed nitric and hydrochloric acids in e-waste (gold) recovery

We are delighted that our director, Mr. Kelvin Chan, has received an invitation to participate in INTI International College Penang's Employer Project. The culmination of this project took place on 8th November 2023, with the final presentation focusing on the topic "As a chemical engineer, build and design an Aluminium recovery plant in Penang."

With the hope that the students have acquired valuable insights into the practical applications of fundamental Acid-Base reactions within an industrial context, presents have been bestowed upon the best presenters as encouragement in their academic pursuits.
