GOMSSB SUCCESSFULLY PASSES SHIPYARD QUALIFICATION AUDIT (AKL) 2025-2027
Grade One Marine Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. (GOMSSB) has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by successfully passing the Shipyard Qualification Audit (AKL) for the 2025-2027 session. The two-day audit, conducted by the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), is a crucial assessment to ensure the safety, quality, and readiness of shipyards providing maintenance and repair services for RMN vessels. To qualify for government tenders, shipyards must secure at least a Pass or Pass with a Low-Risk rating, and GOMSSB has met this requirement.
This audit was led by Kdr Zailara bin Zainal TLDM from the Cawangan Penguasa Kejuruteraan Armada (Directorate General Technical Seaworthiness), along with representatives from the Bahagian Kejuruteraan TLDM, the Unit Pengawasan Senggaraan TLDM Barat, and the MINDEF Procurement Division. While the audit highlighted areas for improvement, GOMSSB is committed to addressing them through the relevant departments.
