This integrated farm, is perched on an undulating hill along the periphery of Taviu Forest Reserve.

Vanilla faces major threats from Fungal diseases and a major threat to vanilla farming often destroying entire crops.
Our humid climate with unpredictable weather and wet soils, posing Vanila farm, susceptible to fungal diseases. The knowledge to avoid and the know how to control(once its there) is really a critical challenges for growers.
Today we share some of the pictures showing the journey in TVF,..what we went thru, why, how etc. the daily field care, and patient management, and the real test of yr grit.
This experience enriches us with deep resilience, a profound connection to the rhythm of the farm, and most of all, the knowledge .

Farming is a long journey, and a true farmer knows how to adapt and start over..Having ups and downs is normal, but choosing never to give up shows true strength…we are Expanding !!

Good news.. We achieve a high flowering rates on Vanilla planifolia in TVF this year, its a major milestone, as they often require specific dry stress periods to set buds compared to Vanilla tahitensis. almost all of our Vanilla planifolia is blooming…👍

The vanilla curing is a complex, 3 to 6-month process depending on the spp.
This is a process to transforms unripe, green pods into dark, fragrant vanilla beans.
Freshly harvested green vanilla pods have no aroma or flavor. The signature vanilla flavor and dark color are only developed through a careful 4 - step traditional process that takes up to 3 to 6 months, although some species are much shorter.
After 5 years of experimentation, we have likely moved past beginner hurdles.
We continue to refine these process to prevent common failures like mold, splitting, or flat flavores etc…which were once, part of our journey !!…now things of the past.
Here in TVF, we are prapared to share our knowledge on how to cure vanilla successfully and consistently produce premium, aromatic beans.
