The Sijwa Project will be expanding further mid year when we build the Carpentry Workshop which will be the creative hub for this years 100 beehives, and that will be a conservative beginning. It will also house the honey extraction and bottling plant.

A beautiful collaboration exists between African Monarch Lodges and Elephants, Rhinos & People Namibia (ERP) to create this Bee Sanctuary at The Sijwa Project to combat the elephant & human conflict which exists in the community areas lying adjacent to the Bwabwata National Park.

The establishment of the Bee Sanctuary means we are creating more employment of community members, carpentry skills training and for this we will naturally require reliable electricity for the power tools, extraction and bottling equipment. This is where Solar-Saver who setup our impressive solar plants at each of our lodges delivered their services once again.
