Today on the Day of the African Child 😊 we celebrate the potential of every young learner and the importance of long-term support in shaping their future.

For 15 years, Bannerman’s ELA programme has helped learners across Namibia stay in school by providing uniforms and essential support, now reaching more than 4,600 children nationwide.

Through Bannerman’s educational support initiatives in Namibia, learners are not only supported in their education journey but also provided with direct exposure to the work being undertaken at the Etango Uranium Project and the broader mining industry.

Here’s to the next generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders 🌍✨

15 years ago, the Early Learner Assistance (ELA) programme began with a simple goal: helping young Namibians stay in school.

Today, that support reaches learners across the country through the provision of school uniforms and essential items, helping restore confidence, dignity, and inclusion for thousands of children 🎒

In 2026, Bannerman is proud to celebrate 15 years of the ELA programme and the impact it continues to make in communities across Namibia.

Strong progress continues at Etango’s primary crusher 🇳🇦

🏗️ Construction of the primary crusher structure is advancing well, with foundations now complete and first-level walls in place
⚙️ This marks an important step in establishing the front end of Etango’s processing circuit
📊 Works remain on schedule as the structure continues to take shape

Delivered by local Namibian contractor K Neumayer, the primary crusher is a key component of Etango’s processing infrastructure.

Safety is built by people. 🇳🇦

The Etango Project has achieved an important milestone — 1 million LTI-free hours.

More than a number, it reflects the commitment of every team member and contractor who chooses to work safely, look out for their colleagues and make safety part of every task, every day.

At Bannerman, safety is not a checkbox. It is a shared responsibility and a core part of how we work.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement and to ensuring everyone goes home safely at the end of each day.
