Evolve or Die
If you regularly read our articles, you'll notice a recurring theme on the reflections of the organisationβs ability to navigate the dynamic and stand the test of forces that shape the future. Strategy is the thing, not the other.
In reference to the picture below, while this doesnβt constitute a prophesy, one thing is certain; the UNAM is already, or will soon be, struggling to remain competitive and achieve its enrollment targets.
Over the years, the Namibian education system has undergone significant changes, most notably with the introduction of NSSCO and NSSCAS examinations. These changes sparked debates about the admission requirements for institutions of higher learning.
While determining admission criteria is within the purview of each institution, the impact of these decisions cannot be ignored. Some institutions accept NSSCO or NSSCAS individually, while others, like the National University, require a combination of both.
This shift has significantly altered the dynamics of admissions in the country. Unfortunately, the National University does not admit learners with NSSCO alone, which excludes a substantial portion of potential students. This decision threatens their competitive edge, placing additional strain on their strategists and financial sustainability.
