Launch Namibia is an enterprise, founded in 2018, that focuses on bridging the gap between start-ups, large corporations and government agencies in order to help develop the growth of these start-ups — a process well defined by the Launch Namibia motto: creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem. son Shilongo started Launch Namibia to empower startup entrepreneurs like himself, using digital platforms. Launch Namibia also holds space for two additional components, namely Launch Magazine & Launch Media Agency.

2019 saw the launch of many innovative projects aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs & students alike, including:

1. The first ever series of Pitch Nights, which allowed entrepreneurs to pitch their idea to a panel of judges, with the best pitch of the night walking away with a business startup hamper valued at over N$5000;

2. The Launch Namibia Internship Programme, a three month long internship which accommodated two interns who were responsible for content creation & curation;

3. The first Launch Start-up Awards (LSA), an event aimed at recognising Namibia’s most innovative & ambitious startups.

2020 continued with the tradition, with the Pitch Nights going virtual. Despite it being such a tumultuous year, Launch Namibia remained committed to playing its part in fostering the entrepreneurial ecosystem. | 🚀
