Good morning 😊 Very exciting changes have been happening in my life over the past month which I would like to give my full attention to. This means I’ll be taking a “sabbatical” from Glass’d for the rest of the year.

With winter coming up, I thought it would be the perfect time to offer you the smaller tumbled shards that are perfect for creating your own glass art 😁

They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be used for anything you can imagine! Ideally you would come around to my house and handpick your shards 😊 but I’ll have some bags prepared in advance too.

500g = N$200 for a mix of different shades of green, brown, light blue and white

300g = N$150 for 1 colour only (you can choose your colours)

Unfortunately this excludes dark blue as I only have a handful of them and I’m busy with an artwork for myself 😁

This week’s progress on the suncatchers. I just love how they twirl and twist in today’s breeze.

If they’re too heavy with too much glass, they don’t move a lot, so it’s really a matter of experimentation.

This Suncatcher is approximately 1 meter long when hanging and sways and twists in a slight breeze too.

Today’s beautiful clouds seemed like the perfect backdrop for a photo 😁

It’s up 😁 I’ll be putting in a warmer bulb today as this one is far too bright for the passage. This chandelier was installed to sway in the breeze, creating a soft and beautiful soothing sound.

Materials used: steel frame with used wine corks, beads and tumbled clear glass. The chain is recycled electric fence wire.

Say hello to the new recycled glass chandelier!

Clear glass with recycled wine corks and some beads to offset the black steel frame. I used an old oven grid to hang the strands from to keep the overall weight of the chandelier as light as possible.
Instead of chains, I recycled electric fence wire.
You don’t need a high ceiling for this chandelier! The electric fence wire will be secured inside the ceiling so that the height of the frame can be adjusted according to its future home.

Height from frame to longest strand: 570mm
Width: 320mm
Length: 500mm
Approximately 8kg
