On the 12th of October 2023, the first-ever was held in Windhoek and organised by@Cirrus Capital The Brief Basecamp Business Incubator .The Awards are aimed at recognising the achievements of top-performing Namibian businesses. The awards recognised excellence in various categories, including , Best Local Bank, Best Locally Listed Company, and Best Environmental, Social, and Governance ( ). We have been recognised as the 2nd Best under the Best Startup Category. We have been recognised for our work on water treatment, especially to brackish water from the -dug wells in and where many are still using hand-dug wells as the only source of water. Our solution also offers a new and easier way to draw water from 20-30m deep wells different from the conventional method of a -Tied-to-a- .This conventional method has been recorded to be risky and dangerous. A number of deaths have been recorded as and fall into the wells while trying to draw . We are humbled by this recognition and we will continue to provide solutions that are practical to the fact that " IS A ". As we continue to offer solutions for sustainable water treatment in Namibia, we also look at the of this scarce resource, the systems used in accessing the , the technology and the easiness. Many people in rural areas in , and western (Peri-urban areas) use hand-dug wells as source water. They use BUCKET-TIED-TO-A- ROPE. This conventional method is risky(statistics show people fell in these wells) and too physical. Many hand-dug wells are left open and exposed to . In many parts, groundwater is also not fit for human consumption(saline or brackish) and conventional desalination is expensive to many. These are challenges that our team has been/ is working on to tackle.

Our efforts have been noticed locally and internationally and recently we have been shortlisted for Champion of the Year by Big 5 Construct South Africa held in Johannesburg on 27 June 2023.

Recently, in recognition of our efforts, we have been selected to pitch our solutions to the panel judges on 15 July 2023 for - category as the TOP 5. In any event, we are happy with our progress and water is a human right, which through technology, innovations and sustainable solutions we work for.

The City Tshwane Municipality in South Africa Wastewater Treatment plant was first constructed in 1913 and is still operating fully till today.It treats about 60 million litres of wastewater daily using the concept of "natural biological concept". The Sludge is turned into compost and there is great business opportunity to turn the produced "Methane" into electricity. During field visit as part of YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa WASH Cohort 1 ,our managing partner had first hand experience of how this wastewater treatment plant works and look at the Methane Business Opportunity.

Rural -Urban migration puts strain on many Cities to provide enough food and water. Cities around the world have turned to Urban Agriculture to produce food for its residence. City of Windhoek through its Farm Okukuna in Goreangab settlement is no exception.However, water has always been a challenge in Windhoek in particular. Therefore , we were contracted to site and eventually drilling a borehole for Farm Okukuna in Windhoek. The geological survey (below picture) has bee completed and we are confident of our results that Farm Okukuna will never be the same
