This evening, my husband and I had the privilege of hosting the Executive Council of the UNAM Accounting Society (UNAS) for an evening of mentorship, learning, and networking.

In his capacity as Patron of UNAS, my husband shared his journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant and offered practical insights on leadership, perseverance, and professional success.

I had the opportunity to share my own journey of breaking barriers, from Forensic accountancy to entrepreneurship, leadership coaching and authorship.

It was inspiring to engage with a group of young leaders who are committed to shaping the future of the accounting profession. Investing in the next generation is one of the most meaningful ways we can contribute to building a stronger Namibia.

Thank you, UNAS, for a rich and engaging evening. The future of the accounting profession is in capable hands.

Today, I had the privilege of designing and facilitating the “Breaking Barriers: Forging Your Path in Chartered Accountancy” workshop, proudly sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia (ICAN)

The programme was designed to equip APC and IAC candidates with the resilience, confidence, and mindset needed to navigate the demanding journey toward their upcoming Board Examinations.

While technical competence opens the door, resilience, discipline, perseverance, and self-belief are what carry you across the finish line. It was inspiring to engage with a room full of future Chartered Accountants committed to excellence and determined to succeed.

From Namibia to the Hollywood.

As I reflect on the launch of my book, Breaking into the Boardroom – A Guide for Women, I am filled with gratitude for how far this journey has come.

On this launch day, we gathered close to 400 people (mostly women) in one room to celebrate leadership, courage, ambition, and the power of women supporting women. It was more than a book launch - it was a declaration that women belong in every room where decisions are made and that our voices matter.

The vision was simple yet bold: Rooted in Namibia. Crafted for the World. 🇳🇦🌍

What began as a book launch in Namibia has grown into an international platform showcasing Namibian stories, African leadership, and the incredible potential of women leaders.

My goal was never simply to write a book, but to contribute to a movement that inspires women to lead with confidence, courage, and purpose.

I am humbled that Breaking into the Boardroom won the Leadership Category at the International Impact Book Awards (IIBA) in the USA and is now competing for Author of the Year 2026 at the IIBA(USA).

This recognition is not just about one author or one book. It is a celebration of African leadership and a reminder that Namibian voices belong on the global stage.

Every vote is more than support for a book - it is a vote for African stories, African leadership, and the belief that our voices matter in global conversations.

Honored to be selected as a Finalist for the “Author of the Year 2026” Award at the International Impact Book Awards (IIBA) USA for my book, Breaking into the Boardroom – A Guide for Women.

What a milestone achievement. It still feels like a dream 🙈🇳🇦

After winning the Leadership Category at the IIBA Awards, being selected as a FINALIST for Author of the Year 2026 is another huge milestone on this journey.

This book competed shoulder to shoulder with internationally authors from across the world - and made it this far.

To say that I am proud is truly an understatement. I’m humbled by Gods grace🙏🏻😊

This moment is a reminder that African leadership, African stories, and Namibian voices belong on the global stage.
