NCCI WEEKLY RECAP | BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS |DRIVING BUSINESS |CREATING OPPORTUNITIES
This week, the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) continued advancing strategic engagements aimed at strengthening Namibia’s private sector and creating sustainable economic opportunities.
NCCI x NIFA Strategic Partnership
NCCI and the Namibia Investment and Finance Academy (NIFA) officially signed a landmark partnership agreement focused on MSME growth, investment readiness, graduate development, and workforce skills alignment.
The partnership seeks to bridge gaps between business development, market access, and workplace readiness to build stronger enterprises and meaningful employment pathways for Namibians.

Engagement with the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development
NCCI met with the Executive Director of the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development, Dr Wilhelmine Shivute, and her senior leadership team to better understand the Ministry’s priorities and strengthen collaboration between NCCI, local authorities, and regional councils.
Discussions focused on supporting sustainable town planning that takes entrepreneurial land needs into account during erven development and allocation processes to ensure economic viability and job creation across towns and settlements.
The parties also explored reviving Public-Private Dialogues and the Business Census, recognising that collaboration remains essential for inclusive national development.
China–Namibia Business Summit 2026
The Chamber facilitated the participation of NCCI members in business-to-business engagements during the China–Namibia Business Summit held today at the Windhoek Country Club.
The summit, organised by the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade together with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), created valuable opportunities for local businesses to connect with international partners.
NCCI continues to encourage Namibian businesses to remain organised, structured, and strategic in their approach when engaging potential investors and partners. Preparation, clarity of purpose, and understanding one’s value proposition are key to unlocking meaningful opportunities.
As we head into the long weekend, we wish everyone a safe and restful time ahead. The Chamber will resume operations on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, ready to continue serving Namibia’s business community.
