You can't make money you can't see
Back in 2005, I attended a conference where
the speaker introduced us to a great book called
"Think & Grow Rich"
So, I spent the next 2 months looking for
the book and I eventually found a copy in
a bookstore.
I bought it and read it from page to page
One of the main ideas that the author (late
Napoleon Hill) passed is the fact that if
you have a goal to make N1m a month, you
should spend some time every day to imagine
that you are in possession of that N1m
The idea is:
If you can't see yourself in possesion of
the N1m, it will be difficult to get it in
your hands
Some people think this is rubbish but in my
life, it has proven true over and over.
And that is the problem with most Nigerians
Poverty and lack has eaten so deep into their
core that when you tell them they can make
N1m a month from a business, they think it
is another 419 trick
Anyway, N1m is only $2850
That is not even up to the minimum monthly
wage of people in several developed countries
Let me end this email with a question to
know what your mindset is at?

How to overcome the FEAR monster
3 days ago after the Ecommerce training I had
with Patrick Ogidi, one of the attendees sent
me an email.
She said:
"Please, when I import my products, how am I
sure that they will sell?"
That right there is the EVIL SMELL of doubt
and fear.
And these twins usually end up pulling a lot
of people into the dark abyss of doing nothing
and having nothing
Instead of allowing these 2 (especiallly fear)
to limit your progress, let me tell you how I
overcame one of the worst business fears in my
life.
Back in 300 level, I discovered a new online
business but it required that I will have to
spend money to run adverts
And that is where the problem lies with most
new entrepreneurs
They are deathly afraid of spending money on
their business because FEAR keeps whispering
in their ears:
"What if it does not work?"
In my own case, the fear was even more pronounced
because my entire pocket money per month was
just N2000
If I was going to invest anything into this new
business, it had to be from the money meant from
my school fees
But then, I realized I was never going to make
anything work if I didn't go all in.
So, I made the plung
I used my school fees to run my first advert.
Did it work?
Hell No!
I didn't even make 1 kobo back.
But it gave me 2 priceless things back
(1) I learnt why the advert did not work
(2) I overcame that fear and realized that nothing
happens when you try something and it doesn't work
So, firstname, you won't die if you try something
and it doesn't work.
Not everything you do in business will work but
if you have made up your mind to succeed and if
you have the right information, then you will only
get better and better.
By the time I started studying why my advert did
not work, I became more confident and ran more
adverts.
The more adverts I ran, the more I was able to
silence the "voice of fear" in my head
And the more I understood what to do to get better
results.
That is how to move ahead.

Does this scare you?

In 2018, commit to doing the difficult
things, the things other people run away from, the
things that scare you...For it is in doing the
difficult things that true progress is going to
happen for you. Think about the things you didn't
achieve last year. You didn't achieve them because
you didn't do what it takes to achieve them or
you gave up too easily.
------------------------------
So, let me ask you a question.
Are you living your life doing the same thing that
majority of people are doing which is why they are
mediocre and poor?
Are you running away from those hard decisions that
can change your life but seem scary?
HERE IS THE PLAIN TRUTH:
Change is scary.
It is not easy.
That is why majority of people just wake up and do
the same easy thing that others do.
And that is why their lives don't improve
E.g.
Starting a business is scary.
And running it is even scarier.
Not everyone has to run a business 100%
Some people don't even need it.
They have a job that pays them a lot of money
But that is just about 0.01% of the population
If you are not part of that 0.01% and you want
more out of life, then you have to start making
scary decisions.
I know...
I know 95% of people on this newsletter list are
too chicken to make such decisions.
But are you one of them name?
Don't answer.
Your actions and the money in your bank account
will tell.
But if you are telling yourself the truth, then
you will realize that you need to start reprogramming
yourself to attract more money into your life

Is this demon affecting your finances?

One of those 3 demons is called LAZINESS
And it is a stubborn one
Here is an example:
Sometimes, I run an advert on Facebook promoting
a free book.
The advert usually ends with a call to action
telling anyone interested to click a provided link
in order to get the book.
But guess what?
Some people are too lazy to click that link and
get the book.
So, these lazy folks go to the comment section
and drop comments like:
"Here is my phone no 07035828403, please send the
book to me via whatsapp"
"Here is my email, please send the book to me"
Etc
The question is:
Are these people dumb?
Can't they read and follow simple instructions?
The answer is simple.
They are just LAZY
And that is why I never respond to such comments.
I don't want such people in my list and in my life
But there are other different stages of laziness.
Look at yourself
Would you rather spend 1 hour browisng youtube or
Instagram when you can spend that 1 hour to read
a book or work on your business?
The demon of laziness has no hold over you except
for the hold you allow it to have.
Make it a decison today to get rid of this demon
in your life and you will see great changes.

SHARPEN THAT AXE ASAP
Dear subscriber,
I have a prayer for you this morning.
May God bless you with divine wisdom to
make the right decisions that will make
your life better.
I was reading the Bible recently and
I read a verse that really struck me.
It is from Eccl 10:10 and it said:
"Wisdom is profitable
to direct"
THINK ABOUT IT.
Wisdom is all about making right
decisions and acting on them.
The New Living Translation of the Bible
explains the verse in full.
It says:
"Using a dull axe requires great
strength, so sharpen the blade.
That's the value of wisdom; it
helps you succeed."
I am NOT sharing this with you so that
you can see me as a pastor or some
motivational expert.
No.
I am sharing this with you because there
is a lot of wisdom in that verse.
If you have been trying to improve your
life and finances with a dull ax ("ideas
and strategies that bring little or no
result"), then it is time for you to
apply wisdom by sharpening your axe.
Sharpening your axe means you should change
your old way of doing things that is not
getting you the results you want.
It means taking the right chances when you
are supposed to.
What do you have to do to change your life
that you are not doing at the moment?
Do you need to get a new skill?
Or start a new business?
We usually think that there is plenty of time
left but time is a scarce thing.
Stop delaying what you ought to do now.
Do what is needed today.

The No. 1 Step to a SIDE INCOME

How I Defeated My No.1 Business Enemy
Firstname, I have a prayer for you today.
May you not meet an enemy that you won't
be able to overcome
AMEN!
Years ago, I was struggling with succeeding with
business.
Almost everything I tried never seemed to work.
I was pointing fingers at various people
I blamed the government
I blamed the customers who refused to buy
I even blamed some of my friends
But nothing changed until I was bold enough to
face the true enemy of my success and that is ME.
YES.
I was the TRUE enemy of my success
I was the one holding myself back.
Today, I see many people in the same position
They look at their finances and blame Buhari and
every other person for their finances except for
themselves
I am not saying the government is good.
Far from it.
But in this same economy, people with no ties to
the government are prospering
So, why not you?
The reason is because you are afraid.
"What if I try this and it does not work?"
Fear, Laziness and Procrastination are 3 demons
that make it impossible for you to move ahead if
you allow them
