IT’S OFFICIAL! ABA FASHION WEEK 2026 PARTNERS WITH ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT

The road to Aba Fashion Week 2026 just got more exciting!

Earlier today, Aba Fashion Week and the Abia State Government formalised a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), bringing fresh momentum to the growth of fashion and the creative industry in Abia State.

The ceremony was attended by the Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hon. Matthew Ekwuribe; Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Chibuzo Ehiemere; and the Founder of Aba Fashion Week, Ugomdi Ogbonna. The event was also witnessed by members of the press.

With this partnership, we are taking another step towards putting Aba’s creativity, craftsmanship and fashion entrepreneurs on a bigger stage.

From the runway to the masterclass, Aba Fashion Week 2026, happening November 25–27, promises three days of fashion, business, creativity and exciting opportunities under the theme “Craft to Capital.”

This is more than fashion. It’s about turning our craft into opportunities, building brands and taking Made-in-Aba to the world.

ABA FASHION WEEK 2026: NOTICE ON DRESS CODE AND EVENT STANDARDS

Following discussions with relevant regulators, Aba Fashion Week wishes to communicate the standards that will guide dressing, presentations and conduct at the forthcoming edition of the event.

While we respect the right of individuals to make personal choices about how they live and express themselves, we recognise our responsibility as event organisers to comply with the laws and regulations governing our land and remain mindful of the cultural values and sensitivities of our host community.

Accordingly, all designers, models, stylists, exhibitors, performers, guests and other participants are expected to observe the following standards:

Appropriate Dressing: All outfits presented on the runway or within event venues must meet the event’s standards of decency and professionalism.

Respect for Cultural Sensibilities: Designs and presentations must demonstrate respect for the cultural values and sensitivities of our host community.

Compliance with Applicable Laws: All participants must ensure that their outfits, performances and public conduct comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Professional Conduct: All runway presentations and associated activities must reflect the professional character of Aba Fashion Week and its commitment to promoting fashion, creativity, enterprise and the growth of the fashion industry.

Entry and Enforcement

Entry into Aba Fashion Week venues is subject to compliance with these guidelines. Aba Fashion Week and its partners reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any individual who violates these guidelines or whose conduct is inconsistent with the applicable event standards, subject to applicable law.

These standards are intended to provide clear guidance for participation and ensure that Aba Fashion Week proceeds in an orderly, professional and lawful manner.

We remain committed to providing a platform for designers, models, entrepreneurs and other creative talents to showcase their work, create opportunities and contribute to the growth of Aba’s fashion industry.

We appreciate the cooperation of all participants and stakeholders in upholding these standards and ensuring a successful Aba Fashion Week 2026.
