🦠 HEPATITIS B: THE SILENT THREAT TO YOUR LIVER
Hepatitis B is a serious viral infection that attacks the liver and can lead to long-term health problems if left untreated. What makes it dangerous is that many people infected with the virus may not show any symptoms for months or even years, unknowingly spreading it to others.
The virus can be transmitted through contact with infected blood, unprotected s*xual in*******se, sharing of needles or sharp objects, and from an infected mother to her baby during childbirth.
Some people may experience symptoms such as fatigue, fever, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, dark urine, and yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice). However, many infected individuals remain symptom-free.
If Hepatitis B becomes chronic, it can cause severe liver damage, liver cirrhosis, liver failure, and even liver cancer.
The good news is that Hepatitis B is preventable. Vaccination remains the most effective protection against the disease. Regular screening, safe s*xual practices, avoiding the sharing of sharp objects, and ensuring proper sterilization of medical equipment can also help reduce the risk of infection.
Your liver plays a vital role in keeping your body healthy. Protect it by getting tested, knowing your status, and getting vaccinated if you haven't already.
