Good morning foresters, this is the evidence of submission of Nominal Roll to the committee for the integration of NFSS into the National Security Architecture of the country, with this I urge all our members to be prayerful for us to have a soft landing on the number of personnel the federal government will allocate to us since we are in the struggle with The Peace Corps and Harmony Corps whom also submitted their Nominal Roll, I and my team have been working round the clock to make sure that NFSS takes the larger numbers, thanks and remain calm as the beats goes on.

DONATION OF MOTORCYCLES TO NFSS ZONE 11 COMMAND On 24/05/2026, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 7 Division, Borno State, presented 10 motorcycles to Assistant Commander General (ACG) Adam Bulama, Zone 11 Command, to strengthen security in Borno State. The handover ceremony was held at the GOC Office, Maimalari Barracks, this evening. ACG Adam Bulama was accompanied by DC Admin Northeast, Mohammed Adamu, and other senior officers. NIGERIA FOREST SECURITY SERVICE (NFSS) Taraba State Command

CIRCULAR

This is to formally inform all Area Commanders, Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), and Unit Officers of the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Taraba State Command, that the submission of Revalidation Forms will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026 and end on 5th June, 2026.

All concerned officers are hereby directed to ensure proper coordination and timely submission of the forms within the stipulated period. Late submission may not be entertained.

You are also directed to disseminate this information to all personnel under your respective commands and units for strict compliance.

Please treat this circular with utmost importance.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOREST GUARD and NIGERIA FOREST SECURITY SERVICE

The Forest Guard and Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) are related but distinct entities. The Forest Guard is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Environment, established in 1963 to protect Nigeria's 1,129 forests from terrorists and criminal gangs. They're being armed and trained to perform their duties effectively.

On the other hand, the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS), also known as the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), is a broader security outfit addressing national security challenges like insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping. The NFSS has over 50,000 trained personnel and is seeking to be adopted as the National Armed Forest Guard.

Key Differences:

BENUE GOVT ALERTS PUBLIC, FOREST GUARD RECRUITMENT IS FREE, NO PAYMENTS ALLOWED

The Benue State Bureau of Homeland Security has issued a firm warning to the public over a growing recruitment scam targeting hopeful applicants for the National Forest Guards.

According to the Bureau, some individuals have been posing as intermediaries and illegally collecting money from unsuspecting citizens, claiming they can secure slots for them in the ongoing recruitment process.

The agency made it clear that it is the only body authorized to oversee candidate shortlisting, screening, and recruitment for the Nigerian Forest Guards in Benue State. At no time, it stressed, has any individual or group been empowered to collect money on its behalf.

Residents are urged to ignore anyone requesting payment for recruitment assistance, as the entire process follows an official and transparent procedure.

Those who may have already fallen victim are advised to immediately report to the Bureau’s office with proof of payment for swift action.

Director General Air Commodore (Rtd.) JA Gbamwuan reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to due process, accountability, and the protection of the people of Benue State.
