In honor of world mental health day I’d like to share “10 things” a profound spoken piece by titilope sonuga, some profound gems on living, loving and learning. Oldie, but goodie, but still so poignant and useful:

1, Do not romanticize suffering. There is nothing poetic about a love that breaks your spirit.

2, Know when to leave. Some bridges need to be burned. Use the light to find a better way.

3, Practice Forgiveness. Start with yourself. Nobody ever actually forgets. Remember the lesson.

4, Say no. Do no negotiate with terrorists. Do not bargain for anyone’s love.

5, Friendships end. Let go. Stay open.

6, Save emotional real estate for the ones that will stay. Stay soft. Be a safe place for the people you love.

7, Create time for yourself. Create something that will outlive you.

8, Do things that move your spirit. Laugh. Cry. Pray.

9, Love yourself as urgently and completely as you want to be loved.

10, Becoming is hard work. Staying the same is even harder.

Strongly recommend her spoken word album SWIM on Apple Music or Spotify.

Life Tip Wednesday

Are they fake or are they just committed to their evolution?⁣

Sometimes people will attempt to alter their natural tendencies or manipulate others into believing they’ve changed for the sake of how others perceive them. When someone changes or betters themselves solely for another, they tend to regress on their journey because they fail to identify the greater purpose behind their evolution. Furthermore, they make themselves less important than the person they’re doing it for, which ultimately leads to suffering.

Nevertheless, consider this: people are constantly changing. If someone now appears different, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re fake; it may simply mean that they’ve moved on from who they were. You aren’t who you once were, so don’t expect others to be their past either. Progression/regression happens almost daily because we are constantly receiving new information from a variety of sources.⁣

Dunno who needs this but 👉🏽 “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

Just because I never take scholarly photos. 😁😁😁 and I’m still hoping from my internship one day.

In the spirit of my astronaut dreams, here’s a fun space fact. It was on April 12, 1961, that 27-year-old Soviet cosmonaut (a Russian astronaut) Yuri Gagarin made the first human voyage into space on a spacecraft called the Vostok 1. He orbited around the planet before parachuting back down safely to Earth. The entire flight took 1 hour and 48 minutes from launch to landing. Ever since then, every year on April 12, people around the world celebrate ‘Yuri’s Night’ to remember the beginning of human space exploration.

Btw, the picture of me looking up is me wondering when I’ll finally get to see earth in orbit 😂😂

You are loved more than you can imagine and that is enough. You know what Christ has spoken about you.

we say the following affirmation. In Christ• For Christ• With Joy.

And we know that doesn’t mean you won’t be frustrated, make mistakes and get hurt, it just means that we know we will overcome them with Gods perfect peace, overwhelming joy and the holy sprit no matter the circumstances.

Hope to see you someday !!! Btw peep our dapper pastor in the cut and my star girl

Sanctification is a process that never ends.

I am not who I want to be (yet). I am not who God wants me to be. But I’m different. I’m changing. And Christ is at work in me.

I believe that’s the reality for every person who calls Jesus Savior.

So what do I do feeling this imperfect ? Feeling like this is something that could change my life or point a spot light in my life ?
The answer is simple: you watch what you say.

Don’t pretend to be something or someone you’re not. When you admit your shortcomings, you build a bridge between you and others. Owning your sin is different than living in it; confession is never an excuse for complacency.

Keep it simple, babe

Cilantro Lake View in
Is an Indian fusion restaurant that gets it right.

It has all the uniqueness of a needy sports bar set in the heart of India. The main draw of Cilantro Lakeview, though is the outdoor seating area facing Abuja’s famous man made jabi lake.
