There is a part of leadership that does not make it to the conferences. It’s the silence. Leadership loneliness is real and nobody wants to talk about it. Everyone looks for certainty when you are still figuring it out. There is the silence when you can’t fully share your doubts, or the silence after a difficult decision. It’s a personal burden. But it can remain a silence or a solitude. And that defines who the leader will eventually become.
