We had the privilege of participating as media consultants at the launch of the Wildlife and Forest Crime Analytic Toolkit Report for Nigeria, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with support from the International Consortium on Combating Wildlife Crime (ICCWC), the German Cooperation, the United States Government, and the Nigerian Government.

The report, which was presented as a "recommendation" to the Nigerian Government, aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the criminalization of wildlife in Nigeria and conservation areas. It leverages global approaches to combat forest crimes, addressing issues related to the environment, climate change, and food security.

Maternal mortality still causes 20% of maternal deaths world over with Africa taking a huge chunk from this figure. Hence, if we improve women's access to quality maternal care and make it a health priority, we will be saving more lives.

So many organizations in Nigeria have since taken up these challenges, but the Nigeria Health Watch, has been at the forefront of advocating for quality maternal health care and creating awareness since 2015. For them, no woman should die while and this they believe can only be achieved if all women have access to better quality health care.

Again this year, 2023, brought together women stakeholders from across sectors for the 2nd edition of their annual Womanhood Art Gala Night event under the theme "Elevating Women's Voices for Quality Maternal Healthcare"
The event was a platform to chart a cause on the best way to improve maternal health outcomes of women in Nigeria.
