I think the modesty in fashion thingy is often abused...
People don't really know what modesty is,hence the abuse or should I say wrong application of it🤷
Modesty in fashion refers to a style that puts humility, simplicity, and restraint first..
When you say you dress modest it means,you consider comfort and respect for oneself and others
Modest fashion emphasizes covering the body in a way that is respectful and appropriate.
I mean what business does modesty have with showing cleavage and laps?🤷
Modest fashion is simple, clean designs over bold, flashy ones,I mean nothing too loud!
So when you do all that crazy combinations please don't think you are still modest!
Modest fashion puts comfort first...
In modest fashion,you choose clothes that allows ease of movement and relaxation.
I have seen people who literally sit at a place, sweating! till the end of an event because they are uncomfortable🤷
Modest fashion avoids drawing attention to oneself, you want all eyes on you and you say you observe modesty in fashion!? That's not true my love 😅
Modest fashion often values investing in a few high-quality, timeless pieces over buying cheap, trendy items.
Modest fashion still allows for personal expression and individuality,I mean it gives you an opportunity to explore but just in a more subtle and restrained way..
When exploring fashion with modesty involved,you do a lot of consideration! Alot!🤷
So before you shout I dress modestly or before you call that person your role model because she's modest in fashion, please understand very well what modesty is!
